Creating Membership Plans

How to build and manage membership plans on the Plans screen — pricing, perks, included services, and putting a plan on sale.

Memberships let your customers pay a recurring price (monthly, every 3 months, or yearly) in exchange for perks and a set of included services each period. Plans are built and managed on the Plans tab, inside the Membership section of your admin app.

The Membership section only appears in your admin app if your salon has the Membership feature turned on. If you don't see it, contact support to have it enabled for your salon.

1. Open the Plans tab

In the Membership section, click the Plans tab (next to Overview, Members, Check-in and Payments).

  • If you have no plans yet, you'll see a message "No membership plans yet" with a Create a plan button.
  • If you already have plans, each one is listed as a card, with an Add plan button at the bottom.

2. Create a plan

Click Create a plan (or Add plan). A form titled "New membership plan" opens with the following fields, in this order:

Plan name (required) — what the plan is called, e.g. "Glow Monthly".

Description — a short pitch customers will see. There's a small "fix with AI" helper next to this box if you want help wording it.

Price (required) — how much the member pays each billing period. Must be above zero.

Currency — picked from a dropdown of currencies; it defaults to your salon's usual currency.

Billed — how often the plan renews and is charged. Choose Monthly, Every 3 months, or Yearly.

Sign-up fee — optional, a one-time extra amount charged only on the member's first payment, on top of the regular price. Leave it blank for "None".

Discount on services — an optional percentage (0–100) taken off bookings for members of this plan.

Discount on products — only shown if your salon's webshop is switched on. An optional percentage (0–100) taken off shop purchases for members of this plan.

Member limit — optional. Leave it blank for "Unlimited", or set a maximum number of people who can hold this plan at once (at least 1).

Status — choose Draft, On sale, or Archived (see "Plan status" below).

Discounts are shown to customers as plan benefits; for now, you apply them yourself at the till.

3. Include services every period

Under Included every period, you can add services from your salon's service list that members get included with their plan — and how many times each one can be used per billing period. For example, a plan might include 2× Blow dry every month. Click Include a service to add a row; each row has a service dropdown and a "times per period" number. Click the X next to a row to remove it. If you haven't added any services to your salon yet, you'll see a note asking you to add services first.

4. Add perks

Under Perks, type the plain-language benefits you want to advertise — things like "Priority booking". Click Add a perk to add another line, and the X next to a perk to remove it. Perks are shown to customers exactly as you type them.

5. Highlight the plan (optional)

Tick Highlight as "Most popular" to mark this plan as your featured option — it shows a "Most popular" badge to customers.

As you fill in the form, a Preview box at the bottom shows the plan name, price, description, and the list of included services, discounts and perks, exactly as a customer would see them.

6. Save the plan

Click Create plan to save. If anything required is missing — no name, no price above zero, a discount outside 0–100%, or a member limit below 1 — the button is disabled and a short message explains what to fix.

Plan status

Every plan is in one of three states, shown as a badge on its card:

  • Draft — being set up, not visible to customers.
  • On sale — visible on your public website's Membership page; customers can sign up.
  • Archived — taken off sale, but kept on record for its existing members.

On each plan's card, use the small action buttons to:

  • Put on sale — switches a Draft or Archived plan to On sale.
  • Archive — stops selling the plan but keeps its existing members (shown as "Archive — stop selling, keep members").
  • Edit (pencil icon) — reopens the same form to change any field.
  • Delete (trash icon) — removes the plan entirely.

A plan that is full (its member limit has been reached) shows a Full badge next to its name.

Editing a plan later

You can edit a plan's price, billing, perks, or included services at any time. When you edit a plan that already has members, you'll see a reminder: "Price and billing changes apply to new members only — existing members keep what they signed up for." Each member's membership is a snapshot taken at the moment they joined, so changing the plan afterwards never changes what an existing member pays or gets.

Archiving instead of deleting

  • If a plan has never had any members, clicking Delete removes it right away after you confirm.
  • If a plan has or had members, Delete instead shows a message explaining that the plan has members so it can't be deleted, and that you should archive it instead — archiving removes it from your website while existing members keep their membership. Click Archive plan to do that. This protects your records and keeps active members' plans from disappearing underneath them.

Reordering plans

Each plan card has up/down arrow buttons. Use them to move a plan up or down the list — this is the order your plans appear on your public website's Membership page. The new order saves automatically.

See a plan's members

On each plan's card, the member count (e.g. "12 / 20 members", or just "12 members" if there's no limit) is a link — click it to jump straight to the Members tab filtered to that plan.
