Your Profile & Work Gallery

How to update your Staff Portal profile, upload a profile photo, and manage the gallery of work photos and videos shown on your salon's website.

Your profile is what your salon (and, through your bio, photo and work gallery, potentially your salon's public website) sees about you. This page walks through every field on My Profile and My Work Media.

Viewing your profile

Open My Profile in the side menu. At the top is your staff card, showing your photo (or a placeholder icon if you haven't set one), your name, an Owner badge if you're the salon's owner, your role (e.g. "Stylist"), your status (e.g. "Active"), and a "Not bookable" label if Available for booking is currently switched off. Below that it lists your email, phone, role, status, and the month and year you joined. If you've written a bio ("About me") or added work photos, they're shown further down, with a Manage link that takes you to My Work Media.

Your email, role, and status are managed by your salon's admin and can't be changed from here. If you need any of these changed, reach out to your salon manager directly.

Editing your profile

On My Profile, click Edit (top-right of the staff card). An Edit Staff window opens.

At the top is your photo. Click the circular photo area to upload a photo from your device, or click the small camera button on its bottom-right corner to take a photo using your device's camera instead (see below). If you already have a photo, a small X button in the top-right corner of the photo lets you remove it.

Fill in Name (required).

Email is shown but greyed out — it can't be edited here.

Fill in Phone using the phone number field, and note that Role is shown but greyed out — it can't be edited here either.

Under Specializations, tap each skill that applies to you — Hair, Makeup, Nails, Skin Care, Beard, Massage, Waxing, Other — to select or deselect it.

Under About me, write a short introduction shown on the salon website. There's a Fix with AI button above this field — see "Polishing your bio with AI" below.

Status is shown but greyed out — it can't be edited here.

Further down, switch the Available for booking toggle on or off. The helper text underneath changes to confirm what it means: on means "Customers can book appointments with this staff member," off means "This staff member will not appear in the booking calendar."

Click Save changes to save everything, or Cancel to close the window without saving.

The edit window doesn't let you manage your work photos/videos gallery — there's a reminder line under "About me" pointing you to the separate My Work Media page for that, covered below.

Taking or uploading a profile photo

When you click the small camera button, a Take a photo window opens using your device's camera:

Allow camera access if your browser asks for it. Once the camera feed appears, your photo lines up inside a circular guide.

If your device has more than one camera, click the flip-camera button in the top-right corner to switch between your front and back camera.

Click the large round shutter button to capture the photo.

Your captured (or uploaded) photo is only saved to your profile once you click Save changes in the Edit Staff window.

Polishing your bio with AI

Next to the About me field is a Fix with AI button. Clicking it offers a few rewritten versions of whatever you've typed, styled differently from each other; you can preview each one, click Use this text to replace your draft with the one you like, or Dismiss to keep what you originally wrote. Editing the text yourself cancels any suggestions still on screen. The button is disabled if the field is empty.

Go to My Work Media in the side menu. This page is only for your gallery of work photos and videos (your profile photo/avatar is set on the My Profile page instead) — it shows how many items you have out of a maximum of 12, and every change here saves automatically, with no separate save button.

Click Add media (or, if your gallery is empty, the large dashed box that says "Add your first photo or video").

Choose one or more photo or video files from your device. Accepted formats are JPG, PNG, WebP, MP4, and WebM, and each file can be up to 25 MB.

Each file uploads and is added to your gallery automatically — no extra confirmation step.

Each item in the gallery shows a small Video tag in its bottom-left corner if it's a video, so you can tell images and videos apart at a glance. To remove an item, click the small X button in its top-right corner — this also saves immediately.

You can't add more items once you reach 12. Remove something first if you want to add new work samples.
